Stanton "Steve" Eugene Montan

Decatur ~ Stanton “Steve” Eugene Montan, 68, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, February 14, 2023 in Denton, Texas.

Steve was born December 20, 1954 to Carl and Barbara (Payne) Montan in Coos Bay, Oregon, He was united in marriage September 28, 1974 to Shirlee Besselman in Reedley, California. He was a Reedley High School graduate, and a truck driver in the transportation business for many years. Steve was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Barbara Montan; his brother, Darren Montan.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of over 48 years, Shirlee Montan; his son, Christopher Montan; daughter, Stefanie Nations and husband Andy; his grandchildren, Brayden, Landon, McKenzie, and Savannah Montan, Cindy, Paden, and Jacee Nations; his sisters, Debi Hernandez, and Kelly McCarty; extended family members and a host of friends.
