Decatur ~ Stephen Dale Brooks, 60, went to be with our Lord Friday, September 10, 2021 in Decatur, Texas.

Funeral is 3:30 p.m Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Hawkins Funeral Home chapel in Decatur with burial at Fairview Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Robert Brown will officiate. Pallbearers include Tim Lee, Jeremy Conner, Tim Gogniat, Garrett Thompson, Rich Ginn, Larry Winnerger, Jermy Cruit, Mario Gomez, and Scotty Gogniat.

Stephen was born on February 10, 1961 to Jerry Edmund and Betty Jane (Potter) Brooks in Fort Worth. He was united in marriage to Amanda Fay Curtis on May 21, 2009 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; and several aunts and uncles.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Amanda of Decatur; his son, Ethan Womack and wife Kati of Decatur, Jerry Leighton Brooks and fiance Keeli Burcham of Decatur; his daughter, Stephanie Jane Brooks and fiance Coty Tridle of Decatur; 4 grandchildren, Alexis King, Monroe Tridle, Payton Tridle and Emma Jacobs all of Decatur; 1 brother, Cecil Brooks of Justin; and 1 sister, Penny Ramos of Morgan, Texas; extended family and a host of friends.
