Steven Maxell Blankenship

Steven Maxell Blankenship, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and trusted friend to many, passed away September 12, 2022 at age 73.

Steven was born September 3, 1949, in Ft. Bragg, North Carolina. Steven, an avid marksman also had a lifelong passion for auto racing.  He spent his formative years on the racing circuit which ultimately brought him a coveted championship title. Steven later moved to Texas where he met his beloved wife Carolle and established their life together.

He is survived by his two beautiful children, Annie Wheeler and husband Aaron; and his son, Billy Blankenship and wife Tish; and four beautiful grandchildren, Andrew Jack “AJ”, Hannah Grace, Haley Ann, and Cody Aaron. He was preceded in death by his mother Elizabeth Brown Blankenship.

Steven will be honored in a “Celebration of Life” at the home he shared with his wife Carolle in Sunset, Texas at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 15, 2022.
