Bridgeport ~ Steven Lee Perez Amaya, 25, went to be with our Lord Sunday, March 31, 2024 in Paradise.
Mass of Christian Burial is 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 6, 2024 at St John the Baptizer Catholic Church in Bridgeport with burial at East Bridgeport Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Hawkins Funeral Home with Rosary at 7PM.
Steven was born on February 8, 1999 to Paulo and Hermelinda (Amaya) Perez in Decatur. He graduated from Bridgeport High School and worked in the construction industry for several years. Steven was engaged to the love of his life, Jocelyne Medina. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, fiancé and a friend to many that will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Felipe and Guadalupe Perez, Catarino Amaya, and Maria Del Pilar Ibañez.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his parents, Paulo and Hermelinda Perez; his brothers, Christopher Perez, Jr., Rafael Felix and Lewis Hernandez; his sisters, Jocelyn Porter and husband Luke, Michelle Perez, Jennifer Delgado and husband Xavier, and Samantha Lusset Hernandez; his fiancé, Jocelyne Medina; his nephews, Oliver, Jonathan, and Saint Delgado, Gabriel and Michael Porter; his niece, Melanie Porter; several cousins and a host of friends.

La Misa de Entierro Cristiano es el sábado 6 de abril de 2024 en la Iglesia Católica de San Juan Bautista en Bridgeport con entierro en el Cementerio de East Bridgeport. La familia recibirá a los amigos de 6 a 8 p.m. Viernes en la Funeraria Hawkins.
Oficiará el padre Anto Carloose. Los portadores del féretro incluirán a Luke Porter, Xavier Delgado, Emmanuel Amaya, Hever Amaya, Lewis Hernández, Junior Rafael Félix.
Steven nació el 8 de febrero de 1999, hijo de Paulo y Hermelinda (Amaya) Pérez en Decatur. Se graduó de Bridgeport High School y trabajó en la industria de la construcción durante varios años. Steven estaba comprometido con el amor de su vida, Jocelyne Medina. Era un amado hijo, hermano, tío, primo, prometido y un amigo para muchos que lo extrañarán mucho.
