Service: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, at Hawkins Chapel. Burial: Chico Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Sue was born on March 14, 1949 in Center, Texas, the daughter of Jack and Maurine (Chambers) Sanders. She was a homemaker. She married Leroy Preston on September 6, 1976 in Fairfield.
Sue was preceded in death by her father, Jack, her grandchild, Stephanie Bates, and a brother, Harold Sanders.
Left behind to cherish her memory is: her husband of 32 years, Leroy Preston, Sr. of Chico; daughters, Tammy Sanders of Chico, Cathy Boughton and husband Charles of Scottsburg, Illinois, Kimberly Moon of Louisville, Kentucky; sons, Leroy Preston, Jr. and wife Joyce of Paradise, Bobby Frank Bates and wife Cindy of League City, Ricky Lynn Bates and wife Julie of Manville, Larry Don Bates of Chico, Robby Joe Bates and wife Diane of Thornton; 12 grandchildren; mother, Maurine Sanders of Center; brothers and sisters: Harlon Sanders of Normangee, Donald Sanders of Nacogdoches, Jacqueline Holt of Shelbyville, Becky Hillard of Martinsville, Mike Sanders of Normangee, Sharon Stringer of Center, Rusty Sanders of Pollock, Debbie Adams of Nacogdoches, and Dusty Sanders of Center.
