Runaway Bay~ Sylvia Sanders Bement, 87 went to be with our Lord on Sunday, August 30, 2020 in Runaway Bay.
Graveside Service is 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 3, 2020 at East Bridgeport Cemetery. Open Visitation will be held 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Sylvia was born on August 22, 1933 in Wetumka, Oklahoma to Renza Dow and Julia (Luper) Sanders. She was united in marriage to Mike Bement on July 14, 1952 and they were together 66 years until his passing in February of 2019. Sylvia was a homemaker. Her family and friends were the most important things in life to her and she cherished time with them. Sylvia was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mike Bement; her son, Brett Bement; and her brother, Sydney Dow Sanders.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Rhonda McMurry of Runaway Bay; her son, Steven Bement of Bridgeport; three grandchildren, Suzanne Largent, JT Stockton, and Brittany Kaker; her great-grandchildren, Austin, Hunter, Jayden, Brody, Blaze, Joe Tyler, Allie, Weston, and Amelia; and her brother, Al Sanders; numerous extended family members and a host of friends.
