Teresa Ann (Hamm) Gustke

Teresa Gustke, 53, passed from this Earth, on November 1, 2024 at Faith Presbyterian Hospice after a long battle against cancer.

Funeral service is 11 AM Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2024 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport, with burial immediately following at Eternal Oaks Cemetery in Runaway Bay. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service at the funeral home.

Teresa was born in 1970 to James Hamm and Elana Cooper, in Fort Worth, TX. As a child, she suffered from childhood epilepsy and faced many challenges. She had beaten the odds against her and did nothing short of thrive throughout her life. She went on to raise three healthy children, two daughters and one son, and maintain a career.

She found her greatest love later in life, Fred Gustke, in 2013. In 2018, they married and she gained a bigger family, including step children.

Her passions in life, outside of her family, were journaling and scrapbooking. She had served at MTC as a dedicated officer for over 11 years and had just earned the rank of Sargent, when her cancer journey began.

Teresa was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Elana Hamm.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Fred, father, James Hamm, brother, James Hamm Jr, her children: Kimberly Taylor (husband Greg), Brittany Sinku (husband Gage), Cody Cromwell, step-son Ben Guskte, step-daughters Chloe Gustke and Hannah Gustke; 3 granddaughters and 4 grandsons.
