Theodore C. Payne passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2023 in Denton, Texas

Theodore was born April 28, 1931 to Albert and Frances (Ryder) Payne in Waterbury, Connecticut. He was united in marriage September 1, 1951 to Reba Joyce Stewart in Altus, Oklahoma.

Theodore proudly served 4 years in the United States Air Force. He did many different kinds of trades, was a farmer and then, he retire from the City of Ft.Worth, Texas after many years as a draftsmen engineer. Theodore was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather. Theodore will be missed dearly by his family and friends.

Theodore was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Frances Payne; and his grandson, Chad Allen Vess.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter’s, Gloria Tennison & husband Bill of Alvord and Valerie Adams of Boyd; grandchildren, Brandy Cash & husband James of Alvord, LeaAnn Vozburg & husband Nate of Decatur, Jamie Delgado & Joel of San Antonio, Scott Tennison & wife Teresa of California, Dandy Wilson & wife Tatia of Boyd, and Terry Wilson & wife Johanna of Oklahoma; his great-grandchildren, Justin Lambert & wife Cassidy of Paradise, Linsey Crill & husband Ike of Snyder, Herath Strand & husband Zack of Paradise, Tanner Wilson & wife Mallory of Azle, Cora Wilson of Louisiana, Micha Wilson & wife Audrey of Boyd, Michala O’dwyer & husband David of Bowie, Kala Myers & husband Ryan of Bowie, Kenny Dunaway & wife Emma of Alvord, Sera Luman & husband Aaron of Decatur, Chaz Rohman & wife Raelyn of Springtown, Dominic and Devin Delgado, Will and Charlie Tennison, Katie Vess, and Cassidy & Sadi Wilson; great-great-grandchildren, Connor O’dwyer, Clifford & Paisleigh Wilson, Ryder & Ronyn Myers, Haegen & Swayde Rohman; many more family members and a host of friends.
