Thomas Earl "Buddy" Callaway

Paradise ~ Thomas Earl “Buddy” Callaway, 70, a truck driver, went to be with our Lord Monday, August 19, 2019 in Plano.

Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 26, 2019 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with burial in Paradise Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Rev. David Kelly will officiate.Pallbearers include Curtis Plumley, Curt Plumley, Earl Ferguson, Jackie Sides, Bing Carmichael, Carl Bethany, Doug Bethany and Chuck Furr.

Buddy was born on May 6, 1949 to Earl Elisha Callaway and Norma Elaine (Shows) Ursery in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was united in marriage to Linda Sue Biegler on May 13, 1981 in Decatur. Thomas proudly served our country in the United States Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Linda Callaway; his father, Thurman Buell Ursery; his sister Frances Hicks of Natchitoches, Louisiana; his grandson, Barrett Sides of Chico; and his granddaughter, Camryn Callaway of Birmingham, Alabama

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughters, Ginger Gilmore and husband Stephen of South Bend, Indiana, Kim Taylor and husband Andy of Paradise, and Mary Sides and husband Toby of Chico; his sons, Ray Callaway and wife Angela of Bridgeport, and Clint Callaway of Dallas; 12 grandchildren; his brother, Nynn Callaway of Shreveport, Louisiana; his sister, Vickie Arceneaux and husband Ritchey of Patterson, Louisiana; extended family and a host of friends.
