Decatur: Thomas "T.A." Moss, 80, a retired truck driver, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, January 21, 2008 in Decatur.
Funeral service is 2 p.m. Saturday at the Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Steven Bernard officiating. Interment will follow the service at Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
T. A. was born March 4, 1928 in Holiday, Texas to Ira Wenton and Birdie Caroline (Kribbs) Moss. He married Bonnie Louise Tucker in Henrietta, Texas on August 26, 1957.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 51 years, Bonnie Moss of Decatur; six daughters, Deanna Melson and husband, Johnny of Decatur, Gladys Smith and husband, Robert of Decatur, Deborah Franklin and husband, Andy of Boonesville, Patricia Billington and husband, Jerry of Decatur, Sarah Wise and husband, Johnny of Sunset, Katherine Buggar and husband, Brent of Decatur; son, Danny Grant and wife, Charlotte of Decatur; 20 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and sister, Helen Dennis.
T.A. is preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, 1 sister, and granddaughter, Hannah Buggar.
