Fort Worth ~ Thomas Albert Thompson, 88, a retired City Building Inspector, went to be with our Lord Friday, November 6, 2020 in Fort Worth.
Graveside Service will be 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Eternal Oaks Cemetery Runaway Bay. Open Visitation is 6-8 PM, Monday November 9, 2020 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Military Honors will be provided by the Wise County Veteran's Group.
Brother Craig Jordan and Brother Randy Davis will officiate.
Thomas was born on March 6, 1932 to Floyd and Ora Ellen (Cox) Thompson in Seymour, Texas. He was united in marriage to Erma Howell on August 30, 1955 in Jacksonville, Florida. Thomas proudly served our country in the United States Navy, and was a member of the Wise County Veteran’s Group. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Decatur, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating. Thomas was a beloved husband, brother, and friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers; Clarence and Bowie Thompson; his sisters; Lucille Elkins, Juanita Gleghorn, and Uelma Thompson.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 65 years, Erma Thompson of Fort Worth; his sister, Floy Stringer of Fort Worth; and numerous loved nephews and nieces.
