Thomas Russell Whittington

Funeral is 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Chapel in Boyd. Burial will be private. Family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Bro. Mike Boaldin will officiate.

Thomas was born on April 28, 1952 to Winfred and Edna (Pool) Whittington in Fort Worth. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Newark. He loved to fish, hunt, cook and garden.

Thomas is preceded in death by his parents and his infant sister, Tommie Ruth Whittington.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter, Marcey Inman Martin of New Fairview; his son, Tory McNeely of Granbury; his sisters, Gayle Melton and husband Don of Newark and Wendy Cromer and husband Keith of Newark; numerous nephews, great nieces and great nephews; his friend, Mike Todd of Newark; other family members and a host of friends.

My Brother, You have no idea how much I all ready miss You and that never ending smile and wit. I know you are in a much better place than you have been for the last several months and you are finally in a place you can do all the fishing you want. I just wish we could have gotten that boat we were planning on getting and caught some more fish for that fish fry we all most had enough fish for.
