Boyd----T.J. Rasbury, 83, a retired sheet metal worker with Union 68, went to be with our Lord on Friday, February 25, 2011 in Decatur.
Graveside service is 2 PM Tuesday at Boyd Cemetery. The Reverend Ed Volfe will officiate. Honorary pallbearers are Gary Rasbury, Larry Rasbury, Kenny Rasbury, Kevin Rasbury, Matt Rasbury, and Jeff Rasbury.
T.J. was born August 26, 1927 to Lester and Mammie (Madewell) Rasbury in Boyd. He served his country in the U.S. Army and married Patricia Hutchison on May 21, 1949 in Boyd. T.J. was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Boyd for 50 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; his great grandson, Brenyn Aldridge; and his sisters, Evelyn Goodger and Ruby Compton.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 61 years, Patricia "Plum" Rasbury of Boyd; his sons, Gary Rasbury and wife Debbie of North Richland Hills, Larry Rasbury and wife Maggie of Boyd, Kenny Rasbury and wife Glenda of Boyd, Kevin Rasbury and wife Cindy of Boyd; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; other relatives and a host of friends.
