Runaway Bay ~ Tom Hall, 59, a longtime North Texas golf course superintendent, went to be with our Lord Friday, May 17, 2013 at the Dallas V.A. Hospital after a hard fought battle with cancer.
Memorial service is 3:30 p.m. Saturday, May 25, 2013 at the Runaway Bay Community Church in Runaway Bay. Following the service Tom's ashes will be scattered on the 13th hole at the The Club at Runaway Bay.
Rev. Olin Collins will officiate.
Tom was born on November 26, 1953 to James and Elaine (Diekman) Hall in Fremont, Nebraska. He was united in marriage to Tammie Hathaway on October 7, 2012 in Tyler, Texas. Tom proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Tom most recently worked as the golf course superintendent for The Club at Runaway Bay. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.
Tom was preceded in death by his father, James B. Hall.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Tammie Hall of Runaway Bay; his mother, Elaine V. Hall of Plattsmouth, Nebraska; his daughters, Sara Hall of Fairfield, California and Karen Hall of Plano; his brother, Robert J. (Mel) Hall of Omaha, Nebraska; his sisters, Jana Paczkowski of Wamego, Kansas and Tina McKee of Pineville, Arkansas; his nieces and nephews, Ben Hall and Larissa of Fort Worth, Matt Hall and Terra of Omaha, Nebraska, CeCe Rietan of Pineville, Arkansas, Kyla, David and Nick Paczkowski of Wamego, Kansas; other family members and a host of friends.
