Tom Parker

Memorial graveside service is 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 3rd at Poe Prairie Cemetery in Parker County, near Millsap, Texas with Michael Hinson officiating.

Tom was born June 24, 1942 in Abilene, Texas to Floyd Elbert and Helen Maurine (Putman) Parker. He was united in marriage to Billie Thatcher on February 13, 1993 in Montague, Texas. Tom was a truck driver for AAA Cooper Transport for 22 years.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Billie Thatcher Parker; two sons, Jeffery Thatcher and Jason Thatcher and wife, Buffie all of Decatur; 9 grandchildren, Kirby Proffitt and wife, Gayanna of Benbrook; Randi Leyea and husband, Victor of Fort Worth and Kelsey Proffitt of Ireland; Jadn Thatcher of Decatur, Anna Thatcher of Richmond, Texas, Savannah Thatcher of Antlers, Oklahoma, Elizabeth Kelley of Bonham, and Colten and Savannah Whitten of Decatur; two great-granddaughters, Ashten and Katlen Proffitt of Benbrook; sister, Nancy Crider and husband, Bobby of Crane, Texas; sister-in-law, Phyllis Parker of Alvord; and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Tom was preceded in death by his daughter, Jami Proffitt; two sisters, Shirley Simpson and Nell Berry; and brother, James Parker.
