Tom Tumelty

Decatur ~ Owen Thomas "Tom" Tumelty, 57, of Decatur went to be with his Lord Friday, December 31, 2021 in Decatur, Texas.

Graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 8, 2021 at the Oaklawn Cemetery Pavilion in Decatur with Pastor Doug Riggs officiating. There will be no set family visitation.

Tom was born May 23, 1964 to Tommy and Ila Mae (Edwards) Tumelty in Decatur, Texas. He graduated from Decatur High School and then received his Bachelor's degree from the University of North Texas. Tom was a life long rancher and cattleman.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his aunts, Wanda Sanford and Alma Elsom of Decatur; cousins, Claud Porter "Buz" Elsom and wife Jan of Decatur, Larry Sanford and wife Pam of Burleson, and David Sanford Jr. and husband Eldon Fink, Jr. of Carrollton; a special friend, Denise Meissner of Temple; numerous extended family and a host of friends.
