Tommy Hollis Kirby, 73, went to be with our Lord, Wednesday, September 9, 2020 in Decatur, Texas.
Mass of Christian burial is 11 AM Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Decatur with burial at 11AM Wednesday, at DFW National Cemetery. Visitation from 6-8 PM with Rosary at 7 PM Monday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.
Father Reehan will officiate. Pallbearers include Zak Lyons, Bubba (Eddie) Miguez, Charles Sigler, Phil Martinez, Chuck Boatner, and Tommy Collier.
Tommy was born on April 10, 1947 to Hollis Leon and Neva Pearl (Hodges) Kirby in Dallas, Texas. He was a member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic church, and he was also a part of the church choir. Tommy was also a member of Knights of Columbus, Wise County Veterans Group, and he was retired from Poco Graphite. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Dan Kirby.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of over 22 years, Audrine Miguez of Decatur; his sons, T.J. Kirby, and Michael Kirby; his step-daughters, Stacy McGraw, and Becky Sigler of Decatur; his step-son, Eddie Miguez; his brother, Dudley Kirby; his grandkids, Zak, Sara, Charles, Amanda, Taylor, Cassie, and Nicholas Kirby; 11 great-grandchildren, Gavin, Lyndon, Nyxon, Maxin, Monro, Memphis, Finley, Hudson, Sailor, Zane, and Derrik; nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
