Tommy Lavoyd Rhea

December 4, 1946 — July 11, 2017

Runaway Bay ~ Tommy Rhea, 70, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, July 11, 2017 in Runaway Bay.

Memorial service is 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 29, 2017 at First United Methodist Church in Decatur.

Dr. Tommy Brumett will officiate.

Tommy was born on December 4, 1946 to Joe and Wanda (Derrick) Rhea in Borger, Texas. He was united in marriage to Carolyn Juanita Moore on October 28, 1970 in Borger, Texas. Tommy retired as a Special Education Director of wise county schools.  He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Decatur. Tommy was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Bridgeport Lions Club, and former City Council member of Runaway. He played Buffalo Bill Cody in the 380 Player's production of "Annie Get Your Gun.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 46 years, Carolyn Rhea of Runaway Bay; his daughter, Autumn Carpenter and husband Chris of Kingwood, Texas; his son, Dylan Rhea and wife Briana of Costa Mesa, California; his grandchildren, Aidan and Charlie Carpenter; his mother, Wanda Rhea of Bridgeport; his nephew; Russell Rhea and wife Denise of Borger, Texas; and a host of friends.
