Tony Mack Dickey

Tony Mack Dickey, 86, went to be with our Lord Thursday, December 16, 2021 in Decatur, Texas.

Graveside is 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Aurora Cemetery. Family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Saturday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

John Bickman will officiate. Honorary Pallbearers include Brayden Byrne, Les Brock, Chris Harvey, David Davis, Tony Ray Dickey, Dan Mayers, Shannon Jones and Joey Dickey.

Tony was born on March 20, 1935 to Merlin and Lillie Mae (Anderson) Dickey in Decatur, Texas. He was united in marriage to Dorris Utley on February 27, 1954 in Rhome, Texas. Tony was a a member of Local i46 Plumbers and Pipefitters for 60 years where he served as business administrator for many of those years. He was a member of First Baptist church in Rhome and he was  a 32nd Degree Mason. Tony proudly served our country in the United States Army. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Tony Rhett Dickey; 3 brothers, Wayne, Allen, and Raymond; and 2 sisters, Jackie and Berta.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 67 years, Dorris Dickey of Rhome; his daughter, Jennifer Brown of Rhome; his daughter-in-law, Karrie Dickey of Rhome; his grandchildren, Whitney Townsend,  Caleb Pegues, Torrie Dickey, Jerri Brown, Bailey Davis, Whispy Brown, Brayden Byrne, Beth Dickey; his sister, Marie Moore of Rhome; his brother, Jim Dickey of San Angelo; 7 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
