Travis Elmo Cantrell

Travis Elmo Cantrell, Sr, 74, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, January 30, 2022 in Paradise.

Graveside Service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 7, 2022 at Restlawn Cemetery in Sulphur Springs. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.

Travis was born on April 3, 1947 to Hershell Gibbons and Opal Pauline (Bentley) Gibbons in Como, Texas. In 1953, he was adopted by Nelson Cantrell. Travis married his first love Ida (Havner) Cantrell whom has since gone home to be with our Lord.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Ida Cantrell.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his son, Travis Cantrell, Jr. and wife Sue of Paradise; his son, Hershell David Cantrell of Springtown; his grandchildren, Brittany Helmig, Zachary Cantrell, Tyler Cantrell, and Katelyn Cantrell; his great-grandchildren, Avery and Ian; his sisters, Jean Proctor of Cottondale, Sue Miller, Debbie White, and Jennifer Murray all of Sulphur Springs; his second mom June Gibbons of Sulphur Springs; numerous extended family members and a host of friends.
