Trinidad Carrillo Mendiola

Decatur ~ Trinidad Carrillo Mendiola, 81, of Decatur went to be with his Lord Monday, November 1, 2021 in Decatur, Texas.

Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Decatur with burial in Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m.

Pallbearers include Rigoberto Carrillo, Sergio Carrillo, Hector Carrillo, Christian Carrillo, Manuel Carrillo, Manuel Carrillo, Jr., Roberto Arcelay, and Sergio Sanchez.

Trinidad was born June 3, 1940 to Fernando and Maria del Refugio (Mendiola) Carrillo in Jerez, Zacatecas, Mexico. He married Maria Elena Roman on November 5, 1969 in Jerez, Mexico. Trinidad retired as a peach tree farmer, and had planted over 8,000 peach trees.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Maria Elena Carrillo of Decatur; sons, Rigoberto Carrillo and wife Sonia of Decatur, Sergio Carrillo of Decatur, and Hector Carrillo and wife Evelyn of Decatur; daughters, Amelia Sanchez and husband Sergio of Decatur, and America Arcelay and husband Roberto of Lewisville; 6 grandchildren, Cynthia Carrillo, Christian Carrillo, Sabrina Leal, Kayla Leal, Sophia Carrillo, and Victoria Carrillo; his brother, Manuel Carrillo; 5 sisters, Natalia Fernandez, Maria Guadalupe Caldera, Angela Carrillo, Maria Tufino, and Margarita Sierra; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 brothers, Isidro, Angel, Antonio, and Ignacio Carrillo; a sister, Maria Carrillo; and a grandson, Humberto Alejandro Leal.

Trinidad nacio el 3 de junio de 1940. Sus padres fueron Fernando y Maria del Refugio (Mendiola) Carrillo en Jerez, Zacatecas, Mexico. Se unio en matrimonio con Maria Elena Roman el 5 de noviembre de 1969 en Jerez, Mexico. Trinidad se retiro de ser granjero de arbobel de durazno. Planto mas de 8,000 arboles de durazno.

Los que se quedan atrás para atesorar su memoria son su esposa, Maria Elena Carrillo de Decatur; sus hijos, Rigoberto Carrillo y esposa Sonia de Decatur, Sergio Carrillo de Decatur, y Hector Carrillo y esposa Evelyn de Decatur; sus hijas, Amelia Sanchez y esposo Sergio de Decatur, y America Arcelay y esposo Roberto de Lewisville; 6 nietos, Cynthia Carrillo, Christian Carrillo, Sabrina Leal, Kayla Leal, Sophia Carrillo, y Victoria Carrillo; su hermano, Manuel Carrillo; 5 hermanas, Natalia Fernandez, Maria Guadalupe Caldera, Angela Carrillo, Maria Tufino, y Margarita Sierra;  famlia extendida, y amigos.

El fue precedido en la muerte por sus padres; 4 hermanos, Isidro, Angel, Antonio, e Ignacio Carrillo; su hermana, Maria Carrillo; y un nieto, Humberto Alejandro Leal.
