CHICO -- T.W. "Bill" Brumett, 82, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at his home in Chico.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday at Morris Memorial United Methodist Church in Chico. Burial: Chico Cemetery. Open visitation. Rev. Johnny Irish and Rev. David Shawver will officiate. Pallbearers will be: Joe Campbell, John Jensen, Josh Brumett, Curtis Stevens, Lloyd Newman, and John Newman.
Mr. Brumett was born on July 19, 1925 in San Antonio, Texas, the son of Tom and Vadah (Brown) Brumett. He married Edna Newman Brumett on December 1, 1951 in Port Arthur, Texas.
Mr. Brumett retired from General Motors. He was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church and was a member of the United Auto Works.
Survivors: wife of 56 years, Edna Brumett; son, Dr. Thomas O. "Tommy" Brumett and wife Eve of Decatur; daughter, Judy Newman and husband John of Mesquite; grandchildren, Caitlin Brumett, Josh Brumett, Heather Hopper, and John-Thomas Newman.
