Vada Ruth Rainwater

Haslet ~ Vada “Ruth” Rainwater, 84, went to be with our Lord Sunday, October 17, 2021 in Ft. Worth.

Graveside is 11 a.m. Saturday at Aurora Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 PM Friday, at Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.

Ruth was born June 12, 1937 to Clarence Virgil and Claudie Irene (Howard) Woods in Atoka, Oklahoma.  She was united in marriage to Marshall Travis Rainwater until his passing May 26, 2013. Ruth was a homemaker and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many.  She was a member of Rhome Baptist Church for many years, and the Vice President of Fort Worth Cactus & Succulent Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marshall Rainwater; her son, Robert Fowler; and her sister, Shirley Wharton.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are 3 sons, Mark Rainwater, Keith Rainwater, and Charles Fowler; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; her sister, Glenna Stallings; 4 brothers, Kenneth, Dwayne, Cliff, and Carl Woods; other relatives and a host of friends.
