Decatur ~ Valente Fernandez Jr., 23, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, March 22, 2017 in Phoenix, Arizona.
Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church with burial in Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-7 p.m. with rosary 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Father Thomas Dsouza will officiate. Pallbearers include Ramiro Martinez Jr., Lazaro Martinez Jr., Roberto Fernandez Jr., Roman Martinez, Luis Martinez and Armando Fernandez Jr.
Valente was born on May 4, 1993 to Valente Fernandez and Irene Escobedo in Roanoke, Texas. He was united in marriage to Jessica Enriquez on June 18, 2012 in Decatur.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Jessica Fernandez of Decatur; his daughter, Valerie Fernandez; his father, Valente Fernandez Sr.; his sister, Ivonne Fernandez; his brother, Emilio Fernandez; his mother, Irene Escobedo of Mexico; numerous aunts,uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.
