Vallon Emmons Dunning

Decatur ~ Vallon Emmons Dunning, 72, went to be with our Lord Sunday, January 24, 2021.

Val was born February 16, 1948 to Chesley Vallon and Betty Joyce (Greathouse) Dunning in Austin, Texas. He was united in marriage February 9, 1986 to Elizabeth Ann Grimsley in Dallas, Texas. Val was a retired manager at Vought Aerospace after many years, and had Dunning Real Estate for over 20 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Alvord.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his son, Parish Dunning.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Ann Dunning of Decatur; his sons, Jason Dunning of Decatur, Chris Miller of Decatur, Michael Miller and wife Amy and his special kiddo, Tommy Combs of Alvord; his 5 grandchildren, Hanna Dunning, Yancey Dunning, Anna Miller, Carter Miller, and Lilly Miller; his great-grandchild, Ryder Dunning; his sisters, Marian Wagner and husband Tim of Justin, and Darlene Sutton and husband Don of Vail, Arizona; extended family and a host of friends.

No Service is scheduled at this time, interment will be at Alvord Cemetery.
