Veda Jo (Turner) Simkins

Decatur ~ Veda Jo Simkins, 88, went to be with our Lord Monday, July 12, 2021.

Veda was born June 30, 1933 to Bob L. and Ruby A. (Brewer) Turner in Charleston, Texas. She was united in marriage February 25, 1968 to Keith W. Simkins in Durant, Oklahoma. Veda was a retired cosmetologist, working in the beauty industry for many years. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend to many who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Ruby Turner; her husband of 43 years, Keith W. Simkins; 4 infant siblings; 4 sisters, and 1 brother.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Vicki J. McCutcheon and husband Howard of Wyoming; 3 step-daughters, Sherlyn Fackeral and husband Howard of Nevada, Ginger Martin of Nevada, and Jody Simkins of Nevada; her grandchildren, Farah, Sean, Amy, Duane, Darrell, Dusty, Alisa, and Veronica; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
