Velma June Hill

Paradise~ Velma June (Cobb) Hill, 78, of Paradise went to be with our Lord on Saturday, August 19th, 2023 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Memorial Service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 26th, 2023 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport.

Velma was born on March 21, 1945 to Walter Neil Cobb Sr. and Francis Irene (Easley) Cobb in Bridgeport, Texas. She was a beloved mother of 5 children and was a retired postal worker who was devoted to her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Cobb, Sr. and Francis Irene Cobb; her sister, Rondah Cobb; and her son-in-law, Paul Anderson.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Shannon Stevens, Trey Hill, Shawn and Angela Hill, Greg and Mishael Hill;  her daughter, LaDawn Anderson; her siblings, Neil Cobb and Jan Angelley; her grandchildren, Crystal Reaves, Stephanie Stark, Bradley Anderson, Jessica Anderson, Amanda Heister, Aaron Stevens, Caysen Hill, Colton Hill, Stetson Hill, Taylor Hill, Teagan Hill, Gabby Zoellner, Sadler Hill, Hunter Hill, Josh Hill, Grace Zoellner, and Avery Hill; great-grandchildren, Paisley,  Grace, Remi, Rian, and Myles; numerous extended family members and a host of friends.

In lieu of flowers you may make a donation in Velma’s name to a local Ronald McDonald House or charity of your choice.
