Venita Nell Brown

Decatur ~ Venita Nell Brown, 86, a retired air transportation record keeper, went to be with our Lord Friday, March 20, 2020 in Decatur.

In order to be mindful of the requested 'Social Distancing', a private family service will be held Tuesday, March 24, 2020.

Pastor Mark Webb will officiate. Pallbearers include Cecil Brooks, Steve Brooks, Pete Potter, Stanley Johnson, Garrett Brown, Matthew Brown, Brayden Brown, Christian Brown, Robbie Brown, Aiden Cross, Mike Potter, and Marvin Potter, Jr.

Venita was born on October 5, 1933 to HM and Nellie Potter in Decatur, Texas. She was united in marriage to Gene Paul Brown on January 31, 1953. Venita was a longtime member of the Corinth Baptist Church in Decatur.

She was preceded in death by her husband Gene.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Robert Brown and wife Ramona of Decatur; her daughters Deborah Wieske and husband Jim of North Richland Hills, and Sharon Hart and husband Lyle of Decatur; her grandchildren, Sonny and Michelle Brown, Chris and Michele Brown, Kimberly and Bobby Cross, Katy Brown, Sylvia Hart, and Angela Cartagena; 11 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
