Vertreesa Lynn Rutherford

Paradise~ Vertressa Lynn Rutherford, 69, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 in Bridgeport.

Vertressa was born on July 2, 1952 to Elvin R. and Eunice N. (McCain) Hutson in Amarillo, Texas.  She was a massage therapist and worked many years in the Wise County Area. Vertressa was united in marriage to Larry Rutherford on June 3, 1997 in Bridgeport. She loved spending time with her family, enjoying her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Vertreesa will be remembered for her contagious smile. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and good friend who will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter Christy Woodruff; and her husband, Larry Rutherford; and her brother, Norman Hutson.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Kenneth Woodruff and wife Cindy; her daughter, Misty Cappaert and husband Bobby; her six grandchildren, Crista Crone, Casey Crone, Brandi O’Dell, Carter Woodruff, Zack Woodruff, and Savannah Woodruff; her 3 great-grandchildren, Hadley Crone, Kinsley Crone, and Jackson Woodruff; her brother, Randall Hutson and wife Margie; numerous extended family members and a host of friends.
