Boyd ~ Vickie Lynn Hughes, 63, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, March 18, 2014 in Decatur .
Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Boyd Cemetery . Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Rev. Rick Stokes will officiate. Pallbearers include Donnie Mitchell, Jerry Cagle, Jack Smith, Ronnie Smith, James Hughes and Aaron Brickle.
Vickie was born on July 1, 1950 to Charles and Imogene (Smith) Martin in Fort Worth. She was united in marriage to Jim Hughes on July 8, 1968 in Boyd.
Vickie was preceded in death by her parents.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Jim Hughes of Boyd; her sons, Jonathan Hughes of Boyd and James Hughes of Lancaster; her grandchildren, Caution, Jacob, Kyleigh, Tristen, Hadyn, Jasmine, Wyatt, Sylus and Faith; her sisters, Andrea Benthall of Aurora and Carol Oldham of Boyd; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.
