Virgil Lee Bolin

Funeral is 1 p.m. Monday, December 12, 2011 at Aurora Baptist Church with burial in Aurora Cemetery. Family to receive friends 4-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Rev. Jimmy Withers will officiate. Pallbearers are Steven Bolin, Blake Bolin, Dustin Bolin, Scott Bolin, Calder Austin and Rusty Rice. Honorary pallbearers are Roger Smith, Gordon Young, Dennis Elam, Marvin Winslanger, Harlond Dennis and Roger Berg.

Virgil was born on November 19, 1935 to Alfred and Lela (Shelburne) Bolin in Blewitt, Texas. He married Leita Mae Chafin on March 17, 1956 in Marietta, Oklahoma. Virgil was a member of Aurora Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Tom, T, and Jr.; his sisters, Fredia, Ethel, and Jessie May.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 55 years, Leita M. Bolin of Newark; his sons, Gary Joe Bolin and wife Sherrie of Weatherford, Larry Lynn Bolin and wife Frankie of Aurora, and Carroll Craig Bolin and wife Kathalinia of Aurora; his daughter, Cheryl Lee Austin and husband Clyde of Ft. Worth; his grandchildren, Shelly Dorsey and husband Darin, Steven Bolin and wife Nicole, Ashley Gresham and fiance Josh Parsons, Blake Bolin and wife Jennifer, Dustin Bolin and wife Kristin, Scott Bolin and wife Ashley, Caty Roberts and husband Brandon, Calder Austin, Keesha Bolin, Bobby Reed, and Billy Reed; his 15 great grandchildren; his sister, Dorothy Palmer of Ft. Worth; other family members and a host of friends.
