Newark ~ Kathy Byrd Jones, 65, a retired medical office manager, went to be with our Lord Thursday, December 15, 2016 in Newark.
Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Boyd. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Rev. Jimmy Withers will officiate.
Kathy was born on April 20, 1951 to Norris and Anita (Springer) Byrd in Kansas City, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Richard A. Jones on February 15, 1975 in Kansas City, Missouri. Kathy was a member of the Aurora Baptist Church.
Pallbearers are: Luke Jones, Bill Byrd, Michael Byrd, and Bobby West.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her son, Matthew Bryan Jones.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 41 years, Ric Jones of Newark; her son, Luke Jones of Fort Worth; her brother, Bill Byrd and his wife Maryann of St. Louis, Missouri; her daughter-in-law, Nichole Jones of Fort Worth; her grandchildren, Kelsey Garrett and Kaylin Goss; her nephew, Michael Byrd and wife Tracy; other relatives and a host of friends.
