Norma Waidene (Morrison) Green, 79, passed away the morning of Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at Medical City in Plano, Texas.
Norma Waidene Morrison was born May 26, 1942, in Bridgeport, Texas to Waid Nelson Morrison and Allie Lorena (Holt) Morrison. She was raised in Bridgeport and graduated from Bridgeport High School. She attended North Texas State University in Denton, Texas.
Waidene worked as a secretary in downtown Dallas, Texas when she met James Ernest Green. They were wed on January 28, 1966, in Cox Chapel at Highland Park United Methodist Church in Dallas, Texas.
Waidene was a lover of animals, and the family dogs were the joy of her life. She adored Poodles. After the family moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico in 1984, they saw their first American Eskimo, and fell in love. Over the years, James and Waidene loved and cherished five Poodles and three American Eskimos.
She is preceded in death by her husband of nearly 54 years, Dr. James Ernest Green, and her sister, Helen Joyce (Morrison) Early.
Left behind to cherish her memory is her daughter, Allisa Green of Phoenix, Arizona.
Visitation will be 11:15 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport. A service celebrating her life will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Eastside Cemetery in Bridgeport, Texas.
