Decatur: Wanda LaVerne Collins, 71, a retired merchandising buyer, died Tuesday, December 18th in Decatur.
Ms. Collins was born November 5, 1936, in Bynum, Texas, to Simmon W. and Eddie Lou Taylor. She married Brad Collins on October 11, 1968 in Midlothian, Texas.
Services are at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 20th at the Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel. Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Chapel.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters; Debbie Cohn and husband, Bill, of Burleson; Alta Moreland and husband, Lonnie, of Nacogdoches; Connie Smith and husband, Gary, of Newark; sons; Raymond Collins and wife, Fran, of Decatur; Mike Davis and wife, Penny, of Joshua; 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sisters; Frances Holt of Whitney and Elizabeth Bell of Alvarado.
Ms. Collins is preceded in death by her parents; 4 brothers; and grandson, Rickey Stapp.
