Decatur ~ Wanda Louise Harp, 92, went to be with our Lord Sunday, February 4, 2024.
Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 8, 2024 at Decatur Church of Christ with burial at Bethel Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.
Rick Ross will officiate. Pallbearers include Denver McMurray, Jacob Baker, Winford Morgan, Terry Atkins, Craig Jordan, and K.C. McCurdy.
Wanda was born July 30, 1931 to Curtis Lemuel and Pearl Eunice (Fitzgerald) Warner in Mountain Air, New Mexico. She was united in marriage October 22, 1949 to Jack D. Harp in Brady, Texas. Wanda was a retired secretary after many years with Wise County Agent’s office. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend to many who will dearly miss her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis & Pearl Warner; her husband of 36 years, Jack Harp; a son, Bobby Ed Harp; her brother, Ed Warner; and a sister, Mary Basgall.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are, her sons, Charles Harp of Decatur, and David Harp & wife Cynthia of Sachse; 2 granddaughters, Jessica Harp of College Station, and Lauren Harp of Abilene; her brother, Bob Warner & wife Wanda; a sister-in-law, Lola Warner; a brother-in-law, Virgil Basgall; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
