Wichita Falls: Wanda Elizabeth Roe, 85, originally from Decatur, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, August 16, 2008 in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Funeral service is 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 19th at the Immanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Louis Horton officiating. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
Wanda was born April 29, 1923 to James K. and Bernice LaVaughn (Wilson) Edgemon in Athens, Tennessee. She married Raymond Roe on February 2, 1947 in Wichita Falls. He preceded her in death along with her parents. Wanda was a seamstress and was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her sisters, Myretta Holzer of Smithville, Dorothy Roberts of Cedar Park, Peggy Bowman of Wichita Falls, Burnie Kay Newell of Chino Valley, Arizona, Jimmie Baker of Wichita Falls; brothers, Bud Edgemon of Wichita Falls and Eddie Walker of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
