Wanda Sipes

Paradise ~ Wanda Sipes, 86, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord Thursday, May 15, 2014 in Bridgeport.
Funeral is 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2014 at First United Methodist Church in Bridgeport with burial in East Bridgeport Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Rev. Larry Potts will officiate. Pallbearers include Joe Sipes, Travis Vinzant, Steve Stokes, Jonathan Holder, Ed Black, and Karl Black.
Wanda was born on January 31, 1928 to Blan and Marie (Cox) Waters in Weatherford. She was united in marriage to D.C. Sipes on February 16, 1946 in Weatherford. Wanda was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bridgeport.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, D.C. Sipes; her sons, Eddie and Danny Sipes; her sisters, Nona Mae and Ann; her brothers, Dick and Jimmy.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Jackie Hutto and husband Mike of Paradise; her daughter-in-law, Sharon Sipes of Decatur; her grandchildren; Joe Sipes and wife Mary Lois of Boyd, Shelly Vinzant and husband Travis of Decatur; her great-grandchildren, Trinity, Wyatt, and Eden; her sister, Billie Stokes of Bridgeport; her granddaughters, Keitha, Deedee, Christi, and Kimberly; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
