Whitesboro ~ Wanda Lee Wellington Smith, 83, a retired nurses aid, went to be with our Lord Monday, April 18, 2016 in Whitesboro.
Graveside service is 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 22, 2016 at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the home of Charles and Rhonda Broyles, 476 W. Acres in Whitesboro.
Rev. Scott Jordan will officiate.
Wanda was born on November 24, 1932 to Claude and Dora Mae (King) Flowers in Dexter, Texas. She was united in marriage to Bill Wellington on November 24, 1953 in Whitesboro.
Wanda was preceded in death by her mother, Dora Mae King Smith; her stepfather, Pete Smith; her husband, Bill Wellington; her grandson, Brad Broyles; and her sister, Jessie York.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Linda Turner of Fort Worth, Rhonda Broyles and husband Charles of Whitesboro; her grandchildren, Johnny Lynn Andrews and wife Kari of Whitesboro, Chad Broyles of Whitesboro, Brian Broyles and wife Kathy of Oakridge; her nephews, Lynn Kemp of Muenster, Bret York of Nocona; her nieces, Kristi Dangelmayr of Bridgeport, and Toni Hellman of Lindsay; numerous extended family members and a host of friends.
