Warren D. Western

Funeral services are 2 p.m. Monday, April 7th, at the First Baptist Church of Alvord with Rev. Bill Cleveland officiating. Interment will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, No. 3 in Alvord. Family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday at the Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.

Warren was born to Louis Albert and Lockie Western in Chico, Texas in 1923. He graduated from Alvord High School and he married Inez Whitson on May 3, 1969 in Alvord. He farmed and ranched in Wise County for over 60 years, was a mason with the Alvord Masonic Lodge, and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Alvord.

Survived by his wife of 38 years, Inez, daughter, Marilyn Ransom and husband Brad of Alvarado; grandsons, Tyler and Kyle Ranson of Alvarado; brother, Weldon Western and wife, Peggie of Keller; sister, Melvadean Morris and husband, Dale of Alvord; and several nieces and nephews.
