HASLETT -- Wayne Jackson Shepherd, 61, proud owner and CEO of Cowboy Vending, died Saturday, February 17, 2007 in Haslett after a courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First Methodist Church in Boyd. Burial: Boyd Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.
Wayne was born August 13, 1945 in Graham. He attended the First Baptist Church in Hurst and was a member of the Tarleton Alumni Association, the Texas Merchandising Vending Association, the N.R.A., and the Texas Trophy Hunters.
He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Shepherd and his father-in-law, S.W, Coan.
Survivors: wife, Priscilla Shepherd of Haslett; sons: John Wayne Shepherd and wife Brandy of North Richland Hills, Clint Jackson Shepherd and wife Rebekah of Fort Worth; Mother, Lela Shepherd of Boyd; brother, Kenny Shepherd and wife Dorothy of Boyd; sister, Leann Pierce and husband Rusty of Fort Worth; granchildren: Amber, Bailey, Ashlynn, and Tristan; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Family has requested that donations be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
