Wayne Wilson

August 5, 1924 — December 3, 2015

Decatur ~ Jesse Wayne Wilson, 91, retired aircraft assembly, went to be with our Lord Thursday, December 3, 2015 in Decatur.

Graveside service is 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 6, 2015, at Oaklawn Cemetery in Decatur, Texas. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.

Rev. Charles Taylor will officiate. Pallbearers include Tony Hatcher, Danny Hatcher, Paul White, Chris White, Ronald Bishop, Jimmy Wilson, and Jeff Warren.

Wayne was born on August 5, 1924 to Marion and Ester (Smith) Wilson in Marietta, Oklahoma. He was united in marriage to Margie Ruth White on June 4, 1939 in Denton.  Wayne retired from Bell Helicopter after 20 years of service. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 66 years, Margie Wilson of Decatur; his sons, Deryl Wilson of Decatur, and Gary Wilson and wife Debra of Decatur; his sisters, Kathleen Hatcher of Fort Worth, and Gene Warren of Plano; 2 grandchildren, Randi Eyster of Bridgeport, and Clint Wilson of Decatur; 3 great grandchildren, Ellie and Gunner Eyster, and McCoy Wilson; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
