Wells "Robert" Mote

Greenwood ~ Robert Mote, 85, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, May 14, 2024 in Decatur.

Graveside Service is 11:00 A.M. Friday at Greenwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8:00 P.M. Thursday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Pastor Lucia Kremzar will officiate.

Robert was born January 29, 1939 in Decatur to Robert and Jewel (Roberts) Mote.  After graduating he worked as a Teacher.  From 1960-1962 34 months Army Medical Corps; 26 months stationed in Ethiopia; and many years teaching in Guam. Finally taught at Bridgeport Elementary School for 30 years.  Robert also attended the Presbyterian Church in Bridgeport.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Jewel; and his brother, Rodney Mote.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, Robert Mote and wife Kim of Decatur and David Mote and wife Ally of Weatherford; 5 grand-children, Morgan Mote of Decatur, Tanner Mote of Irving, Cash Isom, Myers Mote, and Haines Mote all of Weatherford; 2 great-grand-children, Javuan Branch and Aaliyah Mote; and brother, Felix Mote of Nazareth; extended family members and a host of friends.
