Wendell was born in Commanche, Oklahoma on May 15, 1930 to Marion and Wilma Ice Lester. He married Mildred Phillips in Love County, Oklahoma on September 22, 1997. PRECEDED IN DEATH: His parents, Marion and Wilma Lester. SURVIVORS: Wife, Mildred Lester of Decatur, Texas, daughter, Lisa West and her husband Ray of Arlington, Texas, Kay Ouchtaqalla and her husband Brahim of Arlington, Texas, son, Michael Lewis and his wife Kerstein of Fort Worth, Texas, 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; brother, Edwin Lester "Skippy"; sister, Darlene Roper, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
