Chico ~ W.G. Watson, 78, a railroad engineer, went to be with our Lord Sunday, November 29, 2015 in Dallas.
Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Olive Branch Cemetery in Chico. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pastor Lionel Young will officiate. Pallbearers include Bill Hand, Robert Cox, Dakota Potter, Ryan Monts, Chase Monts, and Zach Monts.
W.G. was born on June 13, 1937 to Carl and Edna (Dickenson) Watson in Decatur. He was a railroad engineer at the Union Pacific for 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Sonny Watson.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, Dale Watson and wife Evangeline of Azle and Robert Watson of Azle; his daughter, Teresa Vinson and husband Max of Henderson; his friend, Gayle Bland of Chico; his grandchildren, Ryan Monts and wife Catherine, Chase Monts and wife Emerald, Zach Monts, and Dakota Potter-Watson; his great grandchild, Hylah Elizabeth Monts; his brother, Bob Watson and wife Marcella of Chico; his sister, Joan Norman and husband Tommy of Fort Worth; other family members and a host of friends.
