Wiley Thomas Meador

Rhome ~ Wiley Thomas Meador, 73, of Rhome went to be with his Lord Saturday, October 30, 2021 in Decatur, Texas.

Funeral service is 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur with burial in Sweetwater Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Decatur.

Pallbearers include Boucher Mooney, Danny Lambert, Mark Down, Randy Potter, Joe Bert Roberts, Dwayne Moore, and Bill Benedick.

Wiley was born April 25, 1948 to Floyd and Margaret Elizabeth (Caraway) Meador in Decatur, Texas. He married Suzette Moore on June 15, 1971 at Sycamore Baptist Church in Decatur. Wiley loved his friends and his family very much!

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Suzette Meador of Rhome; son, Thad Meador and wife Cathrine of Decatur; daughter, Amanda Thomas and husband Josh of Decatur; 4 grandchildren, Corben and Brynlea Smith, and Kate and Jace Meador; 2 brothers, Donald and Roy Meador; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Wiley was preceded in death by his parents; 5 sisters, Vera Moore, Bobbie Stone, Dorothy Lambert, Bonnie Holland, and Joyce Rich; and a brother, James Meador.
