DECATUR - Willa Mae Dawson, 84, of Decatur died November 2, 2008 in her home town of Decatur.
Funeral will be 2pm Saturday, November 8, 2008 at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Bethel Cemetery, Rev. Johnny Irish and DeWayne Dawson to officiate. Family will receive friends from 5:30pm - 7:30pm Friday at the funeral home.
Willa was born September 25, 1924 to Frank and Lona Pearl Brock Ragland in Decatur, Texas. She married J.C. Dawson on September 23, 1939. They were married for 57 years until his passing in 1996.
Left behind to cherish her memory is a daughter, Ann Kaker of Bridgeport; 2 grandchildren, Steven "Frank" Kaker and wife Susan of Keller, and Sharon Blake and husband Dan of Boerne, Texas; 4 great-grandchildren, Brandon and Kelcie Kaker, Jayci and Jared Blake; 1 sister, Leona Tyler and husband Lee Roy; 1 brother, Fred Alan Hale of Decatur; Special nieces and nephews, LuAnn and Dennis Harris, Barbara and Scott Stewart, Pam and Lazandro Brambilla, Robert E. Hale Jr., Kenneth Hoak and wife Sherri, Kevin M. Hale and wife Tracey, Cindy and Mandy Hoak, Allison Harris, Autumn Brambilla, Shleby Stewart, and Chaz, Zachary, and Ricky Hale.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, J.C. Dawson; a step father; sisters, Helen Rutherford and Harry Lea Walker; 3 Walker nephews; brother, Robert E. Hale; Son-In-Law, Charles Kaker.
