Decatur ~ William Earl Bishop, 67, a truck driver, went to be with our Lord Friday, November 6, 2015 in Corinth.
Graveside service is 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 10, 2015, at Bethel Cemetery in Decatur, Texas. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Jack Watson will officiate. Pallbearers include Joe Watson, Shaun Swindell, Weldon Taylor, Alvin Taylor, Tommy Bishop, and Sonny Bishop.
William was born on June 22, 1948 to Billy Layton and Evelyn
Frances (Parten) Bishop in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. He was united in marriage to Beverly Jean Ransom on September 25, 1966 in Decatur. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Beverly Jean Bishop; and two brothers, Michael Layton Bishop and Ronald Ray Bishop.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter, Nickie Bishop of Decatur; his brothers, Truman Dale Bishop and Terry Newton Bishop of Coolidge, Arizona; his sister, Patricia Sue “Sissy’ Bishop of Coolidge, Arizona; nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
