William Richard "Bill" Fernihough

Decatur ~ William Richard “Bill” Fernihough, Jr., 74, went to be with our Lord Saturday, September 18, 2021.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur. Family will receive friends 6-8 Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at the funeral home.

Bill was born February 15, 1947 to William Richard, Sr. and Betty Jean (Cox) Fernihough in Hagerstown, Maryland. He was united in marriage December 22, 1973 to Cynthia Annelle Gage in Ft. Worth, Texas. Bill was a social worker for years many years and retired with Seymore Hospital. He was an Episcopalian and a member of the Ft. Worth Kennel Club. Bill was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Betty Fernihough, Sr.; his brothers, Mike Fernihough, and David Fernihough.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife Cyndi Fernihough of Decatur; his sons, Trey Fernihough and wife Breanne of Decatur, and Chris Fernihough and wife Micah of Decatur; his grandchildren, Madelyn, Scout, Kai, Kit, and Key Fernihough; his brother, Bruce Fernihough of Beloit, Wisconsin; extended family and a host of friends.

Memorial donations can be made in Bill’s name to St. Judes Hospital.
