William was born on August 12, 1961 to William Donald, Sr., and Peggy (Altum) Harget in Brownfield. He was united in marriage to Kathy Markham on December 12, 1981 in Fort Worth. William was a beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his granddaughter, Everleigh Harget.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 39 years, Kathy Harget of Newark; 3 sons, William (Trey) Harget III of Newark, Jeriamie Harget and wife Laura of Comanche, Oklahoma, and Wesley Harget of Newark; 4 grandchildren, Hayden, Harley, Izaya, and Samantha; his brother, Ricky Harget and wife Darlene of Virginia; 2 sisters, Cindy McDaniel and husband Kevin of Magnolia, and Shanna Mitchell of Livingston; other relatives and a host of friends.
