William G. Ross

Newark ~ William G. Ross, 86, went to be with our Lord Thursday, July 16, 2020 in Fort Worth.

Memorial Service is 3 PM Sunday at Aurora Baptist Church. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. A private burial at DFW National Cemetery will be held at a later date.

Rev. Jimmy Withers will officiate.

William was born on April 21, 1934 to George and Esther Ilene (Shelters) Ross in Detroit, Michigan. He was united in marriage to Donnie Ruth Johnson on December 17, 1955 in Hialeah, Florida. William proudly served our country in the United States Army in El Paso and lived his life fully in Alabama, and Oklahoma before moving to Newark.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters, Eunice Russell, and Betty Martinez; and his brother, Robert Ross.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 64 years, Ruth Ross of Newark; 3 sons, Bill Ross and wife Pam of Kansas, Mike Ross and wife Dee of Newark, and Mark Ross and significant other Tams of Round Rock; 5 grandchildren, Lauren Graves, Brian, Jason, Ben, and Steven Ross; 11 great-grandchildren; other relatives and a host of friends.
